Wandering

"Anything skilled enough in magic or blade." she answered, her tone turning icy in nature.

"I understand." He said knowing that wasn't much of lead but atleast she had given him something he could ponder off. He didn't know many who were skilled so it was obvious he was missing something.

A soft sky escaped her as she looked towards the horizon, her light twinkling out of existance. "It's almost dawn. We had best find shelted at The Edge."

"I will be okay I can help you find your own shelter however." He said looking toward her wondering where she may want to stay.

"The caves." she answered him easily. "They are very well shaded and have water sources in most of them."

"If you want." He said following after her since she seemed to know exactly where she was going so why would he argue.

They managed to reach the caves by dawn and were safe from the now blistering heat inside the caves' damp depths. Sitting down she took off her cloak to reveal her dark clothes. The dress she wore had seen many days of travel along with her cloak. Laying her cloak below her she sat upon it and looked out at the desert. "I have been out here many times searching on my own.... nothing has turned up yet. I'm afraid for my Queen's life."

"I see...you know no one who has the ability to track others?" He questioned. His shadows could form various things...but not familiars yet he was still working on commanding them...prehaps there was a way...if he could create a dog and sense her tracks but it was very hard for him to control a familiar if he made it.

Shaking her head she sighed, "No. Some of the local birds have been helping me, and the guard is out searching, but nothing has turned up."

"There is something I can do but theres no assurance it will help." He said knowing that his powers would be stronger here because they were surrounded by shadows from the light which was still out and reflecting shadows toward him.

"And what is that?" she asked him.

"Lets just say im not exactly a known species..." He said as he suddenly sighed and then pushed his sleeves into the ground...she could almost see the shadows moving toward him and forming what appeared to be a dog...prehaps it could sniff out the queens location...or help them track it atleast...it wasn't stable obviously as she could tell from its snarling.

Ignoring the bad temper of the dog she warned him quietly, "It's not wise to travel through the desert by day."

"This would be the only time I could make him in the dark its harder to find shadows." He said sighing.

"Shadows can always be found in caves." she answered.

"I would not be able to let him leave the cavern though. He has to follow the shadows...so if we could make even our body would work he could follow us." He said though he wasn't sure if he would be open to standing infront of the unstable thing..."He can point us in a direction I suppose." He said shrugging.

Taking a deep breath she nodded and stood. Putting on her cloak she knelt near the dog and offered the fabric bit to the creature so it would have the Queen's scent.
