Hi everyone. We know that no one likes rules, but they keep the site in order. The rules here make sense, so make sure you follow them. If you don't, you will receive a warning. If you have any questions, please ask. This site is rated PG-13

Warning System

First Offense: Reminder by a PM or a note in a post; no real punishment.
Second Offense: A PM sent and a warning.
Third Offense: A PM sent and temporary suspension for appropriate amount of days.
Fourth Offense: Suspended for a month or more.
Fifth Offense: Banned.

Steps may be skipped depending on which rule was broken. Depending on the rule, steps may be skipped to an immediate ban, or a suspension. Suspensions can last from weeks to months.

NOTE: Swearing is allowed, as long as it’s in moderate. So a few every once in awhile are ok, but no every other word being swear words!

NOTE TWO: If you are banned, do not come back! You were banned for a reason and whether you like it or not, you're not getting a second chance. Don't come back with another IP or e-mail, because if you do, that will be banned as well. Nobody likes people that whine, and you're only embarrassing yourself by doing it.
You will also be banned in the chat box, so if you start posting in the chat box again, you'll be banned from there as well.

NOTE THREE: I used rules created by Addie as the backbone for the rules of this site and I want to give her due credit, she did a really good job on them.

General Posting Rules
General Posting Rules

1. Swearing is allowed, as long as it’s in moderate. So a few every once in awhile are ok, but no every other word being swear words. This rule goes for in character and out of character.

2. No inappropriate images or posts. There are to be no pornographic images (or almost pornographic, or anything that implies it), or links to a site that shows such images. If this rule is broken, there will be no warnings; automatic ban. None of us want to see that kind of stuff. If the subject doesn’t actually show something, but may hint at it (EX: shows the curve but shadow or something blocking actual image) Just warn us please s those who do not wish to see it will not.

Your characters are only allowed to kiss, hug and cuddle. Nothing farther than that at all (nothing farther, nothing implying that they went father, or were about to go farther, etc.). This rule goes for in character and out of character.

3. Please remember these two sayings: 'Treat others as you want to be treated' and 'If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'. If you are rude to another member, then you will be warned. Your characters are allowed to be rude to other characters, but not the person playing the character. If I catch anyone fighting over ANYTHING, you will be warned. It's not hard to be nice.

This rule goes for out of character.

4. No spamming. This means don't double post (unless necessary) and don't post worthless posts (posts just saying 'hi', or '...', or just having a smilie in them). There is a special subforum set up in the games forum just for spamming, but it is not to take place anywhere out of that thread.

This rule goes for in character and out of character.

5. Please post appropriately. What I mean by this, is, don't post in all lower case, ALL CAPITALS, lIkE tHiS, or l!c3 +h!s. It only takes a few extra minutes to spell out your post. Also, please do your best to use punctuation, spelling, and grammar; I won't give you a warning if you don't use punctuation/spelling/grammar properly, but you will most likely be asked to try a little bit harder. And please don’t post with chat-box role-play like: *picks up ham* it’s not proper for a literary role-play people. I realize it can be easier at times, but I would appreciate if you used proper sentence structure like: She walked over to the table and picked up the ham asking, “This one?”

6. Don't PM people a thousand times in a row. They'll reply when they can, don't rush them. None of us like to come online and find that we have over 10 PM's from the same person asking us to hurry up and reply and 'are you still there?'.

7. Don't join just to join. It's annoying having users that never come online. So, only join if you're going to be active. If something comes up, please let us know. We won't delete your account if you're gone, but it would be appreciated if you let us know so we don't get angry or concerned.

8. About becoming a mod. PLEASE don't ask me, or another staff member to become a mod. It's a little bit annoying to be asked, and asked, and asked all the time. Besides; if you ask, we might not make you one. We'll only ask those that are responsible, mature, will take care of the site, and that we are sure will not abuse the power. There will be more about this in the FAQ.

9. About advertising: I don't have a problem with it. There is a forum made for you to post site links, and you can do so, AS LONG AS THE SITE IS APPROPRIATE!! No R rated sites, please, or sites that allow sexual scenes, or LOTS and LOTS of swearing ((some is alright, but not a lot!!)). This goes with asking to be an affiliate as well. You'll just get banned eventually if you post sites like that. There is a section in your profile to put links, and I don't have a problem if you put a link in your signature. All I ask is that you DON'T join this forum just to advertise a site. And don't beg people to join your site... that's just plain annoying.

Role Playing Rules

1. No God-modding. Please don't make your character all powerful, or never get hit. You need to remember reality. It's not fair to play that way, and if you are found doing so, you will be given a warning.

2. No power playing. The playing of other peoples characters is confusing and quite annoying, so don't do it. This is also not fair, and if you are found even doing minor things, you will be given a warning.

3. Don't have your character commit suicide. No one wants to see a suicide thread, or anything else like that. If you don't want your character anymore, then please post in the 'Character Adoption' forum. However, a character dying in battle or something is fine. Also, please don't kill another character without their permission. If a suicide thread is found, it will be deleted and you will be given a warning.

4. Please, please, please, do not make your character perfect. We all have our flaws. There is no such thing as 'the most beautiful person in the world' or the 'positively best personality', or something like that. These are called Mary-Sue's/Gary-Stu's, and they too are not fair, or fun, to play with.

5. About powers. NOTHING TOO POWERFUL. I can't tell you what is too powerful, since it really depends on the character, but be realistic; no one is going to have a thousand powers. If a character is found to be too powerful, a staff member will let you know. Also, if there is too little information, you will be told. Also, please tell us what your character can do with their powers -- for example, if your character has control over the element of fire; tell us what they can do with it. Just go into a little bit of detail.

6. About post length... we know that it can be hard to come up with things sometimes, it happens to us all. However, we would appreciate it if you could write a paragraph or more in each post, so it's easier to reply to things and people aren't all that stumped. Now, to us, paragraphs are THREE WELL WRITTEN SENTENCES or more. The least your post can have is three well written sentences, unless you really can't think of anything. It's not that hard to do. And please make that in your character; at least three sentences for appearance, personality, and history. Or as close to three as you can get, but really please, at least a sentence.

7. Violence. Its there, and everyone knows they are going to see it somewhere. Just try not to overdo it. We don’t need to know EVERY detail please.

Chatbox Rules

1. Violence is allowed but if a mod or admin says you're going overboard, we expect that you WILL stop.

2. No harassing other members. If you are caught doing this, you will automatically be given two warnings.

3. Please don't role-play on the chat-box. The chat box is to be used for talking to each other, chatting, plotting, asking to RP, telling others when you posted... not role-playing.

4. Don't post a thousand times in a row. 4 is ok, so is 5. But don't keep posting to get peoples attention, or for no reason.

5. All the rules of this board are to be followed on the chat box. ALL OF THEM. No exceptions.

Summary
If rules are broken, you're account can and will be warned, suspended, blocked, and/or banned at any time. If a moderator breaks these rules, they are in danger of losing their position. Also, if a moderator is abusing their powers, please PM me or another admin immediately, and we will take care of it. These rules are subject to change at any time.

Thank you, and have fun!!!
