Deal Gone Wrong

A small kitten lay near the very outskirts of the mine, almost in the beginning of the borders of the city, dirt was stuck ot its fur and it had a few nasty gashes, almost as if it had gotten into a horrible fight. Its tiny chest rose and fell quickly as it panted for breath, eyes tightly closed and fur matted to its skin.

Akira held food in his mouth as he walked back to the ruins. As he walked past the mines, he heard a softwimpering and ran over to see the hurt kitten. "Oh no." Akira looked over the kitten but was afraid there wasen't alot he could do. He wasen't prepared.

Ears perked at the sound of Akira's voice and she small kitten transformed into a girl with ears and a tail. Looking up at him she mouthed, "Help." as she shakily tried to get up.

"Please stay still..." Akira looked around. He wasn't familer with the area and din't know if anyone eve lived near by. He thought rapidly of a plan. He could only think of one thing but it was a sacrifice. "There's only one way I can help but, it requires your approval."

Looking up at him she nodded a little before her arms gave out and she hit the ground again.

"You need to say. 'I wish I was healed, Akira let it be so.' I must warn you, the sacrifice for this wish will be your life. It will now belong to me.... I'm sorry"

Closing her eyes in pain she let one tear fall before she nodded again and whispered, "I wish I was healed... A-akira, l-let it be so..."

Akira closed his eyes as his fur began to glow gold and a wind comes up. Your body is lifted a spiritual winds wrap your body and heal your cuts and lacerations, suddenly a light shoot out your body and reveals a globe with a blue ribbon. The globe becomes tied around my neck and your body is slowly let down onto my back. "It is done. Your wish s granted." whispered Akira.

Her chest gently rose and fell once before she started to sit up. Feeling her wounds were gone she turned to Akira, her eyes a hollow molten gold, "What now?" was her only question.

Akira looked down. "Your life now belongs to me." As he said that a chain appeared from her chest to the globe.

Sighing softly she answered, "No different than how I was living before I suppose.... Do I have to go with you?" she asked as she sat up and moved her hair away from her face.

"If you want... I do not control your physical being but your spiritual. Even......" The chain suddenly splits and wraps you arms, legs and body and the enviroment become macabre and demon filled.

"Wh-what?!" she gasped and looked around shakily at the demons, her hand trying in vain to reach the knife at her thigh.

The knife melts and the world become worse than anything you can imagine. "whiether you end up in heaven or...." turns to you slowly "Hell."

Closing her eyes tightly she let her tears slip as she whispered, "Wh-why're you doing this? I-I'm just a booky... I don't even kill people."

"I just want you to understand the cost of what you have wished, and what may happen." The chain combines again and the hellish environment disappears. I am sorry for this, but it must be done." The chain disappears all together.

Falling back she looked up at Akira in shock as her tears started to dry, "Wha?"

"every wish needs a payment. Nothing can be obtained without giving. Nothing can be free." Akiar puts his head down.

"I don't understand what I'm supposed to do...." she answered in confusion. "You have my life, but do I have to go with you or live like you want me to...?"

"Like i said, you can do what you want but when that day comes, I will decide your fate."

Closing her eyes she stood with a nod. "I understand... Thank you for giving me the chance to live longer."

"No problem." Akira lays down wishing that his help didn't have to always end up like this.

"Why are you sad." she said calmly as she sat beside him, deciding to learn more about the one that would ultimately decide her fate.

"I don't like to do this to people. I just want to grant wishes for good people but, it doesn't happen like that. Instead I am force to grant any wish and take there cost."

Closing her eyes a little she nodded, "I understand. ...Must be tough."
