he sighs "i'm a bit rusty, but i'll try translating them...." the mouse pulls a pair of small reading glasses, much like the ones aison wears, out of his pocket "lets see, let see, let see....."

(note: samule is wearing a belt thingy that has several pouches on it, one for his glasses, one for a tiny pen and parchment, and others for other things)

"most of them are worn away, this is the only line i can read.....'beware the beatle with five fingers, it's touch can kill a strong man, or save a weak one'. i'm sorry but thats all i can read....." the mouse said as he put the glasses away "five fingers.....like a hand......i know i read something about that with aison, but i can't remember what....."

the knight was listening from where he lay, he was healing his wounds with his magic

"yes, it does.....but.....what if it's both?"

"then you'd need to find the creature to solve the puzzle...."

"yes, but still, where would we....eh" the mouse looks towards the fire, the knight was sitting against the cave wall, his hand was resting on his stomach wound "so your still alive, thats good, but you should not be sitting up like that! lie down and rest, this instant!" samule urged him

Once she heard the knight's voice she turned and looked at him in shock. "Samule's right. You need to lay down." Moving over to him she tried to push him back down onto his cloak.

the knight lightly smacks razalia's forehead "bug" he said showing her his hand, with a smooshed spider on it "and i'm fine, now. thank you, though"

"no your not! we saw your wounds and they were deep! so listen to me and rest!"

"you're right, i must be sick, i'm talking to a mouse...." he sighed and began to unwrap the bandages, showing that the wound was closed, but still not fully healed "i'm fine, i can move and the pain has died down....."

When he showed her the spider she turned pale and began to shake, her eyes glued to his hand before he moved it away. Taking in a deep breath she sat back and tried to get herself under control. "H-he's fine Samule." she told him when she saw the wound closed and looking at him she told him, "This is Samule, he's a spirit animal so technically not a normal mouse."

"if i was a cat, it wouldn't really matter if he was a spirit animal....." his voice sounded monotone, almost bored

"if you were a cat, i'd give you a piece of my mind!" the mouse said indignantly to the knight

"and i'd probably take a piece of your tail...." he looked at razalia "who are you?" he asked "you look familiar....have we met?"

"Behave, the both of you." she told them. Looking back at him when he spoke to her she answered, "I think we've met once... I am Razalia Sevthfeather."

"ahhhhh, the queen's personal scribe......" he said, picking up samule by the scruff of the mouse's neck, samule struggles and flailed, almost looked like he was trying to pick a fight with the knight "........tell me, is there any word about the queen? were any other search parties sent?"

"None besides your party and there has been no news." she answered, a bit distracted as he hung her friend in the air. She held her hand out for Samule, "Please?" she asked the knight.

"i'm afraid that if i let go, he'll attack me" his monotone voice made his joke sound serious as he put the mouse in her hand

the mouse grumbled as he was set down into razalia's hand, he clears his throat "speaking of your party, where are they now?" he asked

"i-i don't know, we were in the dessert when these things attacked us....took two of us down at the beginning of the fight.....i got seperated from the captian and my other comrade, i myself barily made it out of there alive, they almost cut me in half......" he said, placing a hand on his stomach, his hand glowed as he started healing again

Gently cupping Samule in her hand she placed him up on her shoulder out of the way of the guard so they wouldn't fight, even though she spared a smile at his joke. "What things?" she asked him, her curiousity growing. She had encountered quite a few enemies in the desert, but nothing as dangerous sounding as he had just described.

"yes, what 'things' are you talking about, what did they look like?" the mouse asked, his slight anger at the guard was gone

"monsters" he said, his voice making the wourd sound even more chilling, and his dead-looking reddish-brown eyes made it even worse "they weren't anything the captian had descriped from fir, they were demons, heartless and cruel....they killed two of my comrades without hesitation......"

samule gulped "razalia, i'm gonna go and report this to aison, don't worry, you'll be alot safer with a guard then you would be with a mouse" he said, quickly scurrying out of the cave, heading to the palace at full speed

"Samu-" she started off before she saw him leaving. Sighing softly she sat back with a snarl of annoyance and crossed her arms, moving towards the fire for warmth. The talk of monsters had chilled her. She wished that she had more information to go on.

he looked at you, his eyes were like daggers, cold, lifless, and dangerous "they bore large swords, almost like a bastardsword, but larger and with wars spikes on them" he said, "i'm sorry but i can't remember much more..."

he laid down, "and what about you?" he asked, it was as if he was woried that you'd go off to the dessert, looking for the creatures that attacked the search party

the knight was fast asleep, he made no sounds, infact, he looked more like a corpse than a living body, his soft breathing was almost non-existant

Seeing him so ill looking she shivered and whispered to herself, "I hope there was nothing in that blade to taint him... I don't think I can beat a guard..."
