Dune Walk

The dawn sky sparkled with seaspray and rolling fog coming into land from the sea. The fog reflected the light and created a sea upon a sea, this one shimmering golden in the light from the sun. A light came from within the sea of fog and illuminated a pair of travelers. A young woman in a dark travel-worn dress with a dark bird on her shoulder seemed both ominous and strangely fitting in the odd fog of the morning. Her companion beside her towered above her with his height but his red and dark clothes seemed to make him appear as if he were a creature of the fog. The two softly held each other's hands but nothing else as they walked across the golden beach.

Rand held Razalia's hand as they walked through the fog. "It has been a long time since I have seen the sea..and have been out of that forest..I thank you for giving me the courage to do this"

"There's nothing to thank me for." she answered him with a small smile. "The courage was always inside you."

He smiled, "but you gave me the reason"

A soft blush tinted her cheeks and she looked away towards the ocean. "It's been a while since I've been down here."

"so its the same for the both of us then" he smlied, "how about we go for a swim?"

"Now?" she asked him in surprise as she looked out at the water. "It's bound to be freezing!"

He smiled, "then stay close..ill keep you warm" he looked at her. "the cold didn't you stop you at the waterfall" he laughed lightly.

Her blush grew at the warmth comment as she answered tartly, "Well the waterfall was from a stream. This is an ocean; therefore the cold is much more."

He smiled, "ill keep you warm"

"Promise?" she asked him as she nervously nibbled her lip.

He nodded, "i promise"

"A-alright." she answered and looked away from him towards the ocean. Slipping down into her underdress she started towards the water as the bird on her shoulder took flight with a sound of protest. Apparently it didn't feel the need to take an early-morning dip.

He then also striped down to his undershort and then ran into the ocean, and dived in. He then came back up after a few secounds, his hair all wet. "Its so nice" it was freezing, but he was used to it.

Laughing at his enthusiasm she stopped at the sand where she let the water break around her feet. Yelping at the temperature she took a few steps back and looked at him uncertainly.

He comes out of the water and stands next to her, "stay close to me" he put his arms around her, and gently backed into the water.

Nodding at his order she took a sharp breath at the cold temperature of the water and squeaked as they backed into the waves.

He held her close, letting her fell his warmth. As he slowly moved back fearther into the water.

After a few moments her shivering stopped and she relaxed in the water. Making sure to remain close to him she gently tread the water below her and smiled softly.

He was still standing when she started to tred the water, he smiled holding her close. "is that better?"

She laughed a little, "Yes, but I think your height gives you the advantage here." Her tease was gentle and she smiled at him as she shook some of the water from her hair.

He smiled, "well it can be your advantage as well" he teased.

"How's that?" she asked him as she tried to keep her head above the water.

He takes her in his arms and holds her up. "see?" he smiled.

Laughing slightly at this she held onto him and shivered at the cold air. "Yes, I see now."
