Once she was at the top of the cliff and saw him standing before her she gasped in shock and nearly fell back off the cliff. If she fell she would be fine, but it was rather an inconvenience.

As he caught her she clung to him as her heart hammered at the surprise he had given her. "Wh-what's that?" she asked.

"by combinding them in different ways you can create almost anything..I combine them all in different ways.. like weaving a pattern and if done just right it makes a gate way"

"No." she answered and shook her head. "Only half of the Terrans can control any at all and even then only certain people can control certain powers."

"only a few are born with it, but in those lands... people born with the power wear mostly feared even if they were good.. specially the men.. the men born with it were killed or gentled.. meaning there powers taken from them.. but usally they would die without it

Turning back towards him she said quietly, "We should get to the inn."

The inn was a small tavern near the edge of the cliff. White stucco with brown wood support beams were seen from the outside with the warmth of the wooden inside. A fire rumbled in the hearth and good smells wafted from the kitchen like a spell as friends sat around at the tables and drank until they sang loud hearty songs with the others at their tables. The inn's mistress and her daughters served food and drink in good cheer, smiling at each customer and chatting about inside jokes.
